'The Pitt' star Shabana Azeez to lead romance 'Unrequited'

Shabana Azeez, of HBO's Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning drama 'The Pitt,' has signed on to star in the romance 'Unrequited,' per Deadline (28 July 2026). She plays Anjali, whose roommate takes her on a California culinary road trip to stop her returning to India. Lynn Q. Yu directs her first feature from her own script. Production is set for California in spring 2027.
