Live Nation and states each cite new appeals court ruling to sway judge ahead of July 31 antitrust hearing
Both sides in United States v. Live Nation told Judge Arun Subramanian that a July 13 Second Circuit ruling on illegal product tying supports their position. The states say it backs the April 15 jury verdict; Live Nation says it requires proof of coercion and competitive harm the verdict lacked. Oral arguments on post-trial motions are scheduled for July 31 in New York.
