Westminster council to decide by end of summer 2026 whether Banksy statue stays permanently

A Banksy statue at Waterloo Place in central London will remain in place while Westminster city council decides whether to grant it permanent status, a council spokesperson told The Art Newspaper. The work — a suited man blinded by his own flag — was installed overnight in April 2026. A decision is expected by end of summer 2026.
