UK TV diversity flatlines five years after 2020 pledges, Diamond report finds
The latest Diamond diversity report says commitments made after the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests failed to produce "embedded, structural change." On-screen Black, Asian and minority ethnic representation plateaued at 23.2% since 2022. Off-screen representation fell to 13%, below the 17.9% national average. CDN chair Paul Moore said progress has "stalled or drifted backward."
