ACTU leadership team McManus and O'Neil to step down

ACTU secretary Sally McManus and president Michele O'Neil are stepping down after eight years — the peak union body's first all-female leadership team. McManus leaves August 2026; O'Neil by year's end. Their legacy: right to disconnect laws, wage theft criminalisation, and gig economy minimum standards. Not a bad haul, by any measure.
