New Line wins ten-party bidding war for horror short 'Jealous People are Ugly People'

New Line Cinema secured feature rights to "Jealous People are Ugly People," a horror project from Greek-British filmmaker Theo James Krekis, after a bidding war of at least 10 parties (Deadline, 27 July 2026). Krekis will direct from his own script, expanding a BBC-commissioned short that premiered at SXSW's Midnight Madness in 2026. The Fold and Temple Hill produce.
