Tunick stages first LGBTQ+ human Pride flag outside Gran Canaria Cathedral

American photographer Spencer Tunick staged his first LGBTQ+ human Pride flag on 26 July 2026 at Santa Ana Square in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. Several hundred nude volunteers, painted in the six rainbow colours, lay in formation directly before the Gran Canaria Cathedral, a Gothic-Renaissance Catholic church. The work was timed to the island's Pride celebrations, ARTnews reported.
