Judge orders singer D4vd to stand trial on murder and child sexual abuse charges

Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo ruled on July 27 that prosecutors met the probable-cause standard after a five-day preliminary hearing in Los Angeles County. D4vd (David Anthony Burke), 21, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, child sexual abuse and mutilating a body in the killing of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. DA Nathan Hochman is weighing whether to seek the death penalty. A trial date is unset.
