Dragon Age's long-time executive producer sees no path to a new entry at EA

Mark Darrah, executive producer on the Dragon Age series across 23 years at BioWare, told FRVR he does not see another Dragon Age being greenlit. He cited EA's internal IP-ownership dynamics, where multiple parties can block pitches. BioWare, the only credible pitcher, was downsized in early 2025 after 2024's The Veilguard and is focused on Mass Effect.
