Perth Bears stockpile Super League talent for inaugural NRL season

Perth Bears, the newly formed NRL side preparing for their inaugural season, are building a squad with a strong Super League spine. Hooker Tyson Smoothy signed a three-year deal on 27 July after Wakefield Trinity released him on compassionate grounds. Leeds Rhinos trio James McDonnell, Harry Newman and Mikolaj Oledzki are also heading to Western Australia.
