Cyan reveals teaser for cancelled Myst prototype 'Project Anglerfish'

Cyan released a teaser trailer for a cancelled Myst prototype, codenamed Project Anglerfish, on its YouTube channel on 26 July 2026. The four-month prototype, built in 2024–2025, was originally made for publishers only. Development director Hannah Gamiel cited "a variety of reasons" for its cancellation. The project would have been the first new Myst game in 20 years.
