GTA 6 PS5 code-in-box copies are region-locked; Xbox codes are not

Rockstar confirmed that PS5 physical copies of Grand Theft Auto VI containing download codes instead of discs will be region-locked — codes only redeem on PlayStation Network accounts registered to the same region. Xbox Series X/S codes face no such restriction and work globally. GTA 6 launches 19 November 2026. Rockstar attributes the PS5 limits to PlayStation Network account rules.
