Max King's 757-day AFL return ends in three quarters — season over
Max King's first AFL game in 757 days lasted barely three quarters. St Kilda confirmed on July 27 the key forward strained his left hamstring in the third term of Sunday's Round 20 win over North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium and will miss the rest of 2026. Football boss Lenny Hayes called it "incredibly disappointing." King, contracted to 2032, now targets a full pre-season.
