Sky Sports near new Super League deal: more money, fewer matches on TV

A new Super League broadcast deal with Sky Sports is "10 to 14 days" away, The Guardian reports. The expected agreement would increase funding but televise only two or three of seven weekly matches — down from all seven under the current contract, which expires after 2026. The next rights cycle begins in 2027.
