Piastri leads Hungarian GP, then DNFs after swearing at McLaren over botched strategy

Piastri overtook polesitter Norris on lap one and led until McLaren's pit strategy dropped him behind a backmarker. He told his crew: "Mate, just don't fucking talk to me now." A gearbox failure ended his race with 14 laps left. He later said: "Pretty much everything that could have gone wrong did." Norris won McLaren's first victory of 2026.
