Brooklyn Block Co-Named ODB Jones Way for Ol' Dirty Bastard
Putnam Avenue in Brooklyn's Bed-Stuy neighbourhood was co-named ODB Jones Way on July 25, 2026, honouring Ol' Dirty Bastard — born Russell Tyrone Jones — the Wu-Tang Clan founding member who died in 2004 at 35. New York City Council Member Chi Ossé collaborated on the ceremony, attended by ODB's family. The sign sits where his grandmother still lives, his brother Ramsay Jones said.
