Holland asked Sony to shift Spider-Man shoot for Nolan's The Odyssey — Sony agreed

When Christopher Nolan offered Tom Holland a role in The Odyssey, the dates clashed exactly with Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Holland called Sony to request a delay on the Spider-Man shoot so he could take the Nolan part, and Sony agreed (Variety, 2 June 2026). Holland plays Telemachus in The Odyssey, which had surpassed $600 million globally by its second weekend (THR, 26 July 2026). Brand New Day opens 31 July.
