Eleven English athletes out of Commonwealth Games team before Glasgow athletics begins

Eleven English athletes have withdrawn from the Commonwealth Games team before athletics begins in Glasgow on Monday. Sprinters Louie Hinchliffe and Charlie Dobson, both Paris 2024 relay bronze medallists, are the latest. They join Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Dina Asher-Smith and Olympic 400m silver medallist Matthew Hudson-Smith among the absentees. No reasons were given for Hinchliffe or Dobson's withdrawals.
