Next Kratos-starring God of War confirmed, will continue directly from God of War Laufey

Santa Monica Studio head of creative Cory Barlog confirmed at a San Diego Comic-Con panel on 24 July 2026 that the next mainline God of War starring Kratos is in development and picks up directly after God of War Laufey. Barlog said everything built into the Faye game will set up and expand what comes next. No title, date or platform was given.
