Idi Amin's grandson vows to become 'new king of Scotland' at Glasgow Commonwealth Games bout
Ugandan super-heavyweight Aziz Abdul, grandson of dictator Idi Amin, fights England's Damar Thomas in the +90kg division at Glasgow 2026 on July 29. Abdul vowed: "I will be the new king of Scotland" — the title Amin proclaimed in 1976, inspiring the film 'The Last King of Scotland.' Amin held Uganda's light-heavyweight title from 1951 to 1960.
