Inter confirm pursuit of Spurs captain Romero as talks open in Milan

Inter Milan's sporting director Piero Ausilio told Sky Italy the club are actively pursuing Tottenham captain Cristian Romero: "It's definitely a deal we are trying to sign with the player and the club." Romero's representatives were in Milan for face-to-face talks over the weekend of July 25–26. Tottenham are willing to let the 27-year-old Argentine depart.
