Dungeons & Dragons sequel script finished, may never be filmed

Co-directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley completed a sequel screenplay to Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, but Goldstein told ScreenRant the film may never be produced for "financial reasons." The 2023 original grossed $205.46 million worldwide against a $150 million budget — short of the roughly $300 million needed to approach breakeven, per Variety. Goldstein and Daley are now developing Paramount's next Star Trek film.
