England's women's rugby league side opened their 2026 World Cup build-up by beating France 38-4 in Toulouse on 25 July. Two early penalties put France 6-0 ahead before England scored seven tries to lead 28-4 at half-time. The 2026 Rugby League World Cup, running alongside the men's tournament, begins in October across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
