Lyles runs 9.79 at US championships, equaling Olympic best and 2026 world lead
Noah Lyles won the 100m at the 2026 USATF Outdoor Championships at Icahn Stadium, New York, in 9.79 seconds — equaling the personal best he set winning Olympic gold in Paris in 2024 and eclipsing Oblique Seville's 9.82 world lead from June. Ronnie Baker and Kenny Bednarek tied second in 9.88. Lyles, 29, has called 2026 an "off year" with no global title at stake.
