Belgium name Mark van Bommel head coach through Euro 2028

Belgium have appointed former Netherlands captain Mark van Bommel as head coach on a contract through Euro 2028, the RBFA announced on 24 July. The 49-year-old succeeds Rudi Garcia, whose deal was not extended after Belgium's World Cup quarter-final exit to eventual champions Spain. Van Bommel, who guided Royal Antwerp to a domestic treble, starts on 15 August.
