Baggaley returns to Birmingham City on two-year deal

Goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley has rejoined Birmingham City on a two-year deal with an option for a further season, the club announced on 24 July 2026. The 29-year-old first joined Birmingham at age six and made her senior debut there in 2014. She arrives as a free agent after leaving Brighton, where she was player of the season in her first campaign before falling behind Nigerian keeper Chiamaka Nnadozie in the pecking order.
