Rooney knocked out in second round on Commonwealth Games day one

Northern Ireland's Louis Rooney, 20, was knocked out in the second round of his bantamweight bout by Lesotho's Mathealira Seholoholo on day one of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The contest took place at the Scottish Event Campus on 24 July. No medical update on Rooney has been issued.
