Forrester wins 200m backstroke gold after making team only via McKeown withdrawal

Jenna Forrester won 200m backstroke gold at Glasgow 2026 on 24 July, having sat fifth at halfway and fourth at the final turn before storming home. She only reached the team after Kaylee McKeown withdrew with glandular fever; Forrester placed fourth at Australian trials in June. The gold followed her 400m freestyle bronze earlier on day one.
