Upper90 Secures $400M Loan Against Inference Chips, Not GPUs

Upper90 has lent $400 million to inference neocloud General Compute, collateralized by SambaNova SN50 inference chips rather than GPUs. The July 17, 2026 deal is believed to be the first financing to use purpose-built inference silicon as collateral. Upper90 pioneered chip-collateralized lending with Crusoe's GPU purchases in 2021.
