Seven Danish families take eviction case to Supreme Court
Seven families from Helsingor, Denmark, are contesting evictions in the Supreme Court; a two-day hearing began November 6. Their leases ended in 2022 under a 2018 'ghetto law' targeting estates where over half of residents are 'non-Western' (an official statistical label). Their lawyer says the case turns on whether these criteria are neutral. The government says the law aims at integration.
