Ben Curry starts at openside for England against Australia, replacing injured brother Tom

Steve Borthwick has picked Ben Curry at openside flanker, the back-row role that contests the ball at the ruck, for England's opener against Australia. Curry replaces brother Tom, injured in training on Wednesday. It is Ben's first England selection since summer 2025. Maro Itoje captains England, and Borthwick has made four changes from the side that beat Argentina in July.
