The European Commission has issued a preliminary finding, not a final decision, that TikTok's safeguards against 'rabbit-hole effects' (feeds narrowing toward one subject) were ineffective. Investigators said that after a user pressed 'not interested' on an eating-patterns video, the algorithm still offered similar diet and body-image content. TikTok can examine the file and mount a defence.
