Fed Chair Warsh tells Congress he will rein in inflation

Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh told the Senate Banking Committee on July 15, 2026, that the Fed is "determined to bring rising prices under control" in his first Semiannual Monetary Policy Report to Congress. Warsh took the chairmanship July 9, according to a Fed press release.
