Sotheby's sells Klimt portrait for US$236.4 million

Sotheby's, the auction house, has sold Gustav Klimt's Portrait of Elisabeth Lederer for US$236.4 million, ArtNews reported. The Austrian painter worked on the portrait between 1914 and 1916. It is the largest single figure in the November reporting ArtNews published. ArtNews did not say whether the figure includes buyer's fees.
