Daniel Sikkema sentenced to life in prison for murder of husband, New York art dealer Brent Sikkema

Daniel Sikkema has been sentenced to life in prison for his role in the murder of his husband, Brent Sikkema, a New York art dealer, the federal court in Manhattan announced. Brent Sikkema, 75, was stabbed 18 times in Rio de Janeiro in January 2024. Prosecutors argued it was a murder-for-hire plot. A jury convicted him in May.
