Real Madrid confident of signing Manchester United's JJ Gabriel

Real Madrid say they are confident of winning the race to sign 16-year-old JJ Gabriel, who has opted to look elsewhere for senior football, BBC Sport reports. Gabriel is still registered to Manchester United but has not returned since walking out in September. He is training alone in Spain. United would be due compensation if he leaves.
