Westchester County Voting Machines Unable to Scan Up to 250,000 Ballots on Nov. 3

Voting machines in Westchester County, New York, were unable to scan as many as 250,000 ballots at 332 polling locations on Election Day. Some machines did not accept paper ballots. The problem resulted from a program update, county officials said. Voters could use emergency ballots in sealed orange bags, to be counted later, County Executive Kenneth Jenkins said.
