Christie's Mumbai Show Includes 1940 Tagore Memoir Draft Dictated to Protégé
A 1940 draft of Rabindranath Tagore's memoir Chelebela (My Boyhood Days) is among private family archive material shown for the first time at a Christie's exhibition opening in Mumbai in November 2026. It is the only one of 10 complete manuscripts shown that Tagore dictated to his protégé Maitreyi Devi, whose Mungpoo, Darjeeling home he visited in 1938–1940.
