Hackers compromised over 400,000 Health NZ documents in Manage My Health breach

Privacy Commissioner Michael Webster's second and final report says hackers compromised more than 400,000 Health New Zealand documents and over 22,000 patient-uploaded documents in the December 2025 breach of Manage My Health, an online patient portal. About 90 percent of affected patients were from Northland. The report makes 10 recommendations.
