The New Yorker acquires Indian short "We Were Here" for YouTube premiere

The New Yorker has acquired "We Were Here", Pranav Bhasin's Indian mockumentary short, and will premiere it on the magazine's YouTube channels, Variety reported on 29 October 2026. It has screened at more than 80 festivals and collected over 20 awards, according to Variety.
