Bereaved families and civic groups in South Korea have demanded that Activision remove footage of the 2022 Itaewon crowd crush from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The roughly three-second clip appears in the opening moments, depicting civilian casualties in a fictional North Korean invasion. Activision said it did not intend to treat the tragedy lightly.
