Kalshi's Ban on Campaign Staff Trading Falls Short

Kalshi's system to block campaign workers from betting on their own races has failed. NPR reported in July that at least one staffer listed in federal records successfully placed such bets despite new safeguards. The betting platform's enforcement chief said dozens more tried and were blocked, but the confirmed failure exposes a gap in how the system matches campaign records against user accounts.
