Vucic Concedes Defeat as Student-Backed Candidates Win Serbian Election

Aleksandar Vucic conceded defeat in Serbia's October 25, 2026 election to a student-led protest movement. With almost 99 per cent of votes counted, student-backed candidates had 52.7 per cent, Reuters reported. Vucic had resigned as president before the vote. The students had campaigned to unseat him after months of protests.
