Alberto Masotti, former owner of Bologna lingerie brand La Perla, dies aged 90

Alberto Masotti, former owner and president of La Perla, the Bologna lingerie brand, died on Friday morning in Bologna, aged 90, WWD reported. He led the company from 1981 to 2007, expanding abroad with boutiques in Beijing, Bangkok, Moscow, Hanoi and several US stores. He stepped down in 2007.
