Liechtenstein's Prince Alois vetoes parliament-approved abortion law reform
Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein has used his veto, the power to stop a law taking effect, to block a parliament-approved abortion reform. As regent, he blocked changes allowing abortion in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, according to Royal Central. It is the first time he has used the veto against legislation in this way. Existing restrictions remain.
