Sotheby's pulls three Cézanne paintings from Paris sale for Aix-en-Provence museum

Sotheby's has withdrawn three Cézanne paintings from a Paris evening sale. The works, La Ferme, Arbres au Bord de la Rivière and Ciel Entre les Arbres, carried a combined estimate of US$1.57 million to US$2.24 million (€1.4 million to €2 million). Aix-en-Provence, with French Ministry of Culture support, intends to acquire them for the Musée Granet; no price disclosed.
