Reform UK's leak complaint faces a legal catch-22

Richard Tice, Reform UK's deputy leader, has asked the National Crime Agency to investigate whether it leaked his private bank statements. Yet the Proceeds of Crime Act that underpins his complaint also makes it a criminal offence to disclose the confidential filings — known as Suspicious Activity Reports — at the heart of his allegation. That contradiction could hamper any formal inquiry.
