French PM says curfews calmed Paris overnight, more possible

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu said on 20 October 2026 that curfews, orders keeping people off streets overnight, in parts of Paris and other major cities 'have contributed to calm overnight.' The Paris order covered 19-20 October, while Bordeaux and Nice orders were set to last days. He said more could follow if needed.
