Egypt Delays Vote on Military Support for Saudi Arabia to Oct. 26

Egypt's parliament delayed until Oct. 26, 2026, a vote on letting the armed forces support Saudi Arabia if asked. The vote follows Oct. 18 approval by the National Defence Council led by President el-Sisi. Egypt's constitution requires a two-thirds parliamentary majority to send troops abroad on combat missions.
