Ben Simmons tore his right Achilles tendon during a live drill in Kings practice and will undergo surgery. The former No. 1 pick, Rookie of the Year and three-time All-Star signed a one-year deal after sitting out last season. He logged 26 minutes in preseason against San Antonio. The injury came three days before the opener against the Clippers.
